MERCER ACQUIRES PROMERIT
(Dec.14, 2017, /staffingindustry.com/)International consulting firm Mercer announced that it has agreed to acquire Frankfurt-based Promerit, a consultancy specialising in HR digitalisation and HR transformation.
The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed and the transaction closing is conditional on merger control approval. With the acquisition, Mercer aims to enhance its position in the German market.
“Business, people and digital transformation are the core competencies of Promerit, and they are a market leader in Germany for the development and integration of HR cloud systems,” Achim Lüder, CEO of Mercer in Germany, said. “Mercer supports companies not only in the areas of occupational pensions and investments, but also in the areas of M&A, remuneration, international assignments, talent strategy, and a growing capability in the implementation of cloud based technologies. This acquisition will enable us to bundle our strengths. In the future, our customers will benefit even more from the combination of local expertise and global know-how as well as from innovative and digital solutions.”

Mercer is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., a US-based professional services firm. As part of the transaction, Promerit will become a part of Mercer.
