導語：隨著美國頂尖大學的競爭越來越激烈， 美國本科留學申請的時間也越來越早。 老查留學在基本完成了2018年秋季入學的RD階段工作後， 已經全面啟動了2019年秋季入學的招生和準備工作。 例如， 往年的文書早期和麵試準備我們今年會大大提前， 強烈建議申請 2019年秋季入學的學生不要等到標化考試完成之後再找機構協助， 如果你考慮尋找留學機構協助， 應該在2018年3月1日前確定。
有關暑校項目， 我們之前發過一些文章， 但不夠系統。 從今天這篇文章開始， 我們會介紹對於美國頂尖大學申請加分最多高度競爭性的暑校專案系列， 分成科研、人文、數學、其他四篇。 這些項目截止日期都很早， 所以如果各位學生和家長想申請， 請儘早和我們聯繫。
那麼什麼是高度競爭性的暑校？一般指那些含金量比較高， 申請者眾多的項目。 因為美國頂尖大學招生官對這些項目都比較熟悉， 所以在給申請者評分和錄取時會給比較多的加分。
什麼是科研專案？
學生在大學教授的指導下， 從事某個課題的研究， 在專案結束時， 寫出一篇論文。
中國學生參加高競爭性科研項目的優勢？
1、中國高中生在高中階段計畫沒有科研的經歷， 而美國大學又特別看重這些經歷。
2、科研專案是理論和實踐結合很好的機會， 參與專案的學生收穫很大。
3、從事這些項目時， 和導師會有比較多的溝通， 比其他暑校項目更加容易獲得推薦信， 而且有些專案導師會保證有一份評估報告給學生作為推薦信使用。
4、完成論文以後， 如果論文品質高， 導師會使用自己的管道投遞要有關專業雜誌， 尤其如果被PEER REVIEW類雜誌發表， 則對大學申請有非常大的幫助， 當然這個難度也相當大。
接受中國護照持有者可以參與的項目
【第一部分】
以下項目都是科研類高度競爭性暑校， 專案的排序和申請難度無關。
一、SSTP IOWA
1、主辦方：愛荷華大學
2、地點：愛荷華大學校內
4、課程內容：在多個學科領域進行科研， 學校也會組織團體活動
5、申請要求：10年級和11年級學生， 建議託福在100分以上， SAT在1450， ACT30分以上
6、申請截止日期：2月1日前， 4月2日發放錄取
7、費用：6000美金左右
8、申請需要資料：
（1）兩封推薦信， 一封為學術老師， 另外一封最好是班主任（主要評論CHARACTER）
（2）從9年級開始的成績單， 電子版
（3） 標化考試成績（託福,SAT/ACT/PSAT， SAT2等）
（4）申請作文：
Essay 1:Briefly describe each of your research areas of interest. This is used to help determine which faculty mentors will be sent your application materials. If you have particular interests, technical skills,or experience with a research method this is the appropriate place to highlight those talents. (750 words max)
Essay 2: Why are you applying to the Secondary Student Training Program? Describe your career aspirations and explain what you hope togain from the SSTP experience. (750 words max)
二、RMP（加州大學聖巴巴拉分校科研指導專案）
1、主辦方：加州大學聖巴巴拉分校
2、地點：加州大學聖巴巴拉分校校內
4、課程內容：在多個學科領域進行科研
5、申請和要求：10年級和11年級（個別特別優秀的9年級學生也可以考慮）， 建議託福在100分以上，SAT在1450，ACT30分以上
7、費用：10899美金
8、申請需要資料：
（1）個人陳述
（2）寫作樣例
（3）兩封推薦信
（4）AP考試成績
（5）保險
（6）成績單
三、SSP (The Summer Science Program)普渡大學項目
1、主辦方：SSP(該機構是非盈利協力廠商機構，和加州理工、哈威穆德、麻省理工、新墨西哥技術學院、普渡大學以及科羅拉多大學有合作)
2、地點：普度大學校內
4、課程內容：生物化學-真菌酶抑制和藥物發現（授課加上科研）
5、申請和要求：10年級和11年級，並且在高中期間已經完成特定的課程（主要生物和化學領域的課程），優先錄取11年級學生，特別優秀的10年級學生也可以考慮。
7、費用：6950美金（大部分申請者都可以獲得部分獎學金）
8、申請需要資料：
（1）從9年級開始成績單
（2）標準化考試成績（託福，SAT/ACT,PSAT,SAT2等）
（3）兩封推薦信
（4）申請作文，包括：
1）What topic in science or math do you currently find most interesting and why? When and how did you become awareof it? How have you explored it?
2）We know you lead a busy life, fullof activities, many of which are required of you. Tell us about something you choose to do for enjoyment or relaxation.
3）Describe your personal "world"; for example, your family, school, community, city. How has your environment shaped your dreams and aspirations?
4）There are many ways to spend your summer. Why specifically are youapplying to SSP?
5） Respond to any or all ofthese topics：
Describe a life challenge (of any nature, past or present)
Describe an achievement that you are personally proud of
Describe a time when you could have taken the easy way out, but didn't
Describe any reading, research, projects, or competitions you have done outside of regular coursework.
For questions 6,7,8, answer "Yes" or "No" thenexplain any "Yes" answer.
6）Is there a broader context that we should knowabout when comparing your qualifications (including grades and test scores) toother applicants? Examples include family responsibilities, English as a second language, health issues, or other personal circumstances. If so, explain.
If you are a sophomore, explain why are you applying this year rather than waiting until next year.
7）SSP participants work hard and play hard most waking hours. It'san intense, jam-packed 39 days that can be mentally and physically stressful.Would you need any special accommodations (medical or otherwise) in order tofully participate physically, academically, and socially? If so, explain.
8）Have you ever been suspended or subjected to any school or legaldisciplinary action? If so, explain.
四、SSP(The Summer Science Program）新墨西哥技術學院專案
2、地點：新墨西哥技術學院
4、課程內容：進地球小行星成像和軌道研究（上課加上科研）
5、申請和要求：10年級和11年級，並且在高中期間已經完成特定的課程（主要數學和物理領域的課程），優先錄取11年級學生，特別優秀的10年級學生也可以考慮。
8、申請需要資料：和SSP普度項目相同
五、SSP(The Summer Science Program)科羅拉多大學項目
2、地點：科羅拉多大學波爾多分校
六、RIBS（Research in the Biological Sciences） 芝加哥大學項目
1、主辦方:芝加哥大學
2、地點：芝加哥大學
4、課程內容：分子生物學領域的實驗和科研
5、申請和要求：完成10年級，生物課程學業優異，14周歲以上
7、費用：11400美金（包括食宿費）
8、申請需要資料：成績單、標化成績、推薦信、申請作文
