Back in October, Shanghai began enforcing its new garbage sorting plan in Hongqiao Linkong economic zone, Changning district, the first pilot zone for waste sorting, Jiefang Daily reported Thursday. Staff were required to gain knowledge and training about garbage sorting. After three months, the zone witnessed a significant decrease in total waste output, though more endeavors are needed to comprehensively promote household garbage sorting.
