Mozilla在發佈了Firefox 58正式版後， 馬不停蹄地開始Firefox 59.0的開發工作， 59.0的Beta版第一次出現在FTP上時已經是Beta 3了。 此次更新在about:preferences頁帶來了不少人期待已久的一個設置：在網站包含通知選項時， 可以選擇是否彈出提示接受， 而不是每次打開頁面都會被這個選項騷擾。
