買買買是很多女生的最愛， 一包解千愁。 但是英語中有關“花費”的表達有較多方式， 往往很難加以區分， 今天就跟著老師來逐個擊破這些困擾你的小混亂吧。
英語中最為常見的幾種“花費”的表達有：pay, cost, spend, take。
這四個動詞在主語和賓語等搭配用法都不一樣， 其主要區別為：

pay
大多指花錢， 其主語往往是付錢的人
sb+pay+money+for sth.
Hepays five thousand dollars for the car.

cost
大多指花錢， 其主語往往是所買的東西
sth+cost+sb+money
The car costs him five thousand dollars.
Playing in Shanghai Disneylandcost me 499RMB.
在上海迪士尼玩一次， 得花費我499元。

spend
既可以指花錢， 也可以指花時間， 其主語往往是付錢或花時間的人
注意：如果緊跟的是是名詞， 則直接用on連接；
如果緊跟的是動詞， 則用in doing形式表達（in經常省略）
即：sb+spend+money/time+on sth/in doing sth.
Hespends five thousand dollars on the car.
Hespends five thousand dollars(in) buying the car.

大多指花時間， 其主語往往是形式主語it
It+take+sb+time+to do sth.
It takeshim five thousand dollars to buy the car.
It takesme an hour to finish the homework.
