飆出幾味中草藥,你也可以擁有老中醫般的自信

“把手伸過來,讓老夫把把脈……”喲,這不是老中醫嘛!相信大家都有過看郎中、喝中藥的經歷吧——苦澀的藥湯是童年的味道,

當我們逐漸長大,驀然回首,才幡然醒悟,正所謂是苦口良藥。其實很多外國人都對咱們博大精神的中草藥文化非常好奇,作為炎黃子孫,該如何自信滿滿地做一回老中醫呢?Today we will look at some well-known herbs in China.

1. Ginseng[ˈdʒɪnˌsɛŋ]:人參

The health benefits of ginseng include increased energy, better body functions and calm a stressful mind. Research has shown that ginseng can lower blood pressure and appears to help those with diabetes

人參的好處包括提振精神、提高免疫力以及緩解精神壓力。研究表明,人參能夠降低血壓,並且有助於治療糖尿病。

E.g. Ginsengs from the Korea Peninsular are of high quality.

朝鮮半島出產的人參,品質都非常好。

2. Chinese Wolfberry/Goji Berry:枸杞

All in all, goji fruits can effectively improve the state of health, strengthen the immune system, and increase the longevity and vitality as no other traditional remedy or pharmaceutical drugs known to the human kind.

總的來說,枸杞能有效改善健康狀況,強化免疫系統,在延年益壽方面,是傳統療法或藥物中的戰鬥機啦!

E.g. Goji Berry is often thought to be good for our eyes.

枸杞對眼睛很有好處。

小時候父母經常讓吃紅枸杞,清肝明目,可惜最後還是,唉,近視了…..

3. Angelica[ænˈdʒɛlɪkə]:當歸

Angelica is a very good tonic herb for women and children, the elderly or general debility and it is said to strengthen the heart

當歸對於女性、小孩、長者和體質虛弱的人來說是一種很棒的補品,

據說它能強化心臟功能。

E.g. Angelica is one of the most common materials for preparing Cantonese soups

廣東人煲湯的時候經常用到當歸。.

這個例句可不是空穴來風的,在粵菜中就有一道經典老火湯,名曰當歸燉烏雞,棕黃的當歸配上通體烏黑的烏雞,經常是給生完小孩的女性用來的大補的哦!

4. Bupleurumyüˈplu̇rəm:柴胡

Many centuries ago people treated Bupleurum as one of the “harmony” herbs, which were capable of balancing functioning of all the parts of the body. The herb can help support the liver and spleen, eliminating the “disharmony” like, for example, indigestion.

很久以前,人們將柴胡當作是帶有“中和”屬性的草藥,用來使身體陰陽相調。柴胡對肝和脾,消除“陰陽失調”引起的症狀,

比如消化不良。

5.Hoelen ['hoʊelən]:茯苓

In China, hoelen has been traditionally used to prepare tonic soup for aged people and those enduring debility. This herb is believed to provide comfort to the heart, reinforce essential energy as well as alleviate disturbance.

在中國,茯苓通常被用來做滋補的燉湯,給長者和長期體虛的人喝。人們相信,這種草藥能舒緩心胸,提振精神,同時緩解內分泌失調。

E.g. We have a traditional Cantonese soup called Tortoise simmered with Hoelen.

廣東有一款傳統湯——土茯苓煲龜。
