芝加哥藝術博物館創建於1891年， 既是世界上最古老的美術展覽館之一， 也是當今美國三大美術館之一。 博物館收集了眾多印象派畫家的代表作， 如雷諾瓦、畢卡索、梵古等一代宗師的巨作。
莫内的作品在博物館中很多， 特別讓該博物館驕傲的是他們藏有最多的莫内的草垛系列。 故事是這樣的：1886年， ， 莫内46歲， 一個重大轉折出現了。 他的畫商在美國找到了銷路， 莫内開始有錢了。 他終於能夠在吉維尼村居住下來。 1888年， 他開始創作著名的麥垛聯畫。 他在不同季節、天氣、光照下， 塑造麥垛的無數形象。
這是莫内發明的“連作”畫法，
感覺：莫内愛畫水， 愛畫霧， 愛畫他的庭院……。
可惜， 自己沒有藝術細胞， 不懂！
